Designers

“The designer’s job is to imagine the world not how it is, but how it should be.”

Sir Terence Conran

The range of furniture CE International offers across the Roger Lewis and The Conran Shop ranges include countless seating, table, cabinetry, sleep, lighting, and outdoor furniture designs.

The starting point for these pieces is an inspired design. Whilst Roger Lewis works with commercial clients to create bespoke designs for large volume projects which often turn into best sellers, The Conran Shop has a roster of renowned product designers to dictate a style of form and function.

Here we introduce these designers and give a brief insight into their backgrounds.

Matthew Hilton

Regarded as one of Britain’s most esteemed industrial designers, Matthew Hilton infuses complex engineering and seemingly effortless simplicity into each piece he creates.

For The Conran Shop commercial range, Matthew has designed the beautiful Delta & Arbor ranges. In 2022, the Arbor range won the Best Sofa at the Living Etc Style Awards.

Renowned across the globe, Hilton’s designs have been honoured with places in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Manchester City Art Gallery, and the Museum of the Home in London, amongst others.

“My collaboration with The Conran Shop has been a deeply enriching experience, and one that fills me with a sense of pride and admiration for the brand’s heritage and design ethos. To see my furniture designs made available to the commercial market through this iconic institution is truly an honour, and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my work with a wider audience.
